We Happy Few will release on August 10th 2018 and will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC priced $59.99 USD / £49.99 GBP / €69.99 EUR. Although the game has a very set storyline, the developers boast that no two playthroughs will ever be the same as the world is procedurally generated.
They each have a unique story and personalities which makes them react in different ways to certain events that happen. The game features 20+ hours of narrative-driven game play and players will play as three uniquely flawed characters coming to terms with their past and uncovering the secrets of Wellington Wells. The first piece of downloadable content will launch on April 4, 2019, and cost 7.99 individually or can be purchased along with the rest of We Happy Few’s. The announcement came during the studio's keynote address at PAX East 2019. The unusually happy faces and bright colours hide something a lot more sinister as the world is on the brink of collapse but something is making the residents beguilingly happy and you must find out what that is. Gearbox has announced the release date for the first DLC pack for We Happy Few, entitled They Came From Below. The island has been through a lot since being cut off from mainland England since World War 2, but it is being rebuilt from the ground up. It is set in a retro-futuristic 1960's England, on an island called Wellington Wells. The premise for We Happy Few is an interesting one.
